The Tower of London, circa 1335                                                          

The model shows the Tower as it is thought to have looked as a medieval fortress. Approx. 100 figures help to animate the scene: at the Thames wharf ships are unloading cargo which is then being transported by horse and cart; inside the inner curtain walls men work on a trebuchet frame next to a completed machine. Model is on show in the Constable Tower.
